The
Reno County Museum is located at 100 S. Walnut Street in downtown Hutchinson,
and is convenient to nearby dining, entertainment, and browsing in the numerous
antiques shops and gift stores. Many weekend activities and festivals occur
downtown each year, in addition to the Kansas State Fair each September, and
planning a museum visit around other events is easy to do. The Greater
Hutchinson Convention and Visitors Bureau provides a calendar of events and list
of other attractions, and will assist in planning your visit.
The
museum is open 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday, and 1:00 to 5:00 PM
Sunday. It is closed Monday. There is no admission fee, although
donations are greatly appreciated.
We
are very family-friendly, and encourage children to experience the Oodleplex
during the one or two hour visit in the museum. Our tree-shaded courtyard is
ideal for picnics. The museum is fully accessible to people with disabilities,
and our staff is always ready to assist in any way:
(620-662-1184) or email us.
